Kevlar cut fiber
Available lengths 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 0.25 inch, 0.5 inch
KEVLAR® brand cut fiber is a 100% paraaramid
fiber with very high tensile strength
for use as a high-performance reinforcement
fiber. Whether used alone or in conjunction
with other fibers, KEVLAR® cut fiber will
impart dimensional stability, abrasion resistance,
toughness and stable performance in
very extreme environments. The KEVLAR®
cut fiber tensile-to-weight ratio is greater
than steel.
KEVLAR® cut fibers are currently used
in plastics (thermoset and thermoplastic)
for wear resistance, toughness, abrasion
resistance and dimensional stability. They
may act in a matrix to reduce dripping of
thermoplastics when their softening points
are exceeded.
KEVLAR® cut fiber is available in commercial
lengths from 1.5 mm to 0.5 inch
